Pacific Lutheran University!

Well, I have now been a Lute for about a week so far! I moved in last thursday with my roommate Kelsey and our room is pretty much the best on the hall even though we got jipped with one of the smallest rooms in Harstad! Here are a few pictures of my dorm room! I love it, it is awesome just chilling in the room, put-zing on homework and watching tv.

Tuesday was awesome because I played in a pickup of Ultimate Frisbee!!! There were a bunch of guys and a few girls and we rotated in and out after a few points. All of them were really nice and taught me the rules of the game which isn't to complicated but there is a lot of running, which I haven't done since tennis last spring!

Classes are going pretty good, there is a lot of reading so far though. Religion, Ecology, and Women's and Genders Studies are going to be a bit of work but my National Parks class isn't going to be to hard because it is my freshman class and the teacher is pretty fun.

I am so excited for Italy, though of course kind of nervouse but since I haven't really traveled anywhere this will be my first real trip so it will be cool. Plus I don't really have to worry about food because I love pasta, bread, and pizza which Italy is in no shortage of! I am going to find out what the trip plan is today so I will deep you updated!

My On the Road trip last Saturday was great! We went Rockclimbing at Exit 38. Here are some more pics! I climbed a 5.10B Which is my personal best so far. There was another rock that I tried but I couldn't finish it because I was tired, it was the last one I tried, and because I don't have as much upper body strength as some of the other guys. So I banged up my knee with some bruises and scapes but it looks pretty cool!

So sorry about the pics not being in the right place, they won't go where I want them to!:(

Enjoy and there should be more to come if I find the time!

BUSY!!!

You are very lucky that I am even attempting to write an entertaining blog because I have so much to do it is not even funny! This is what my plate of life looks like---->
Cause you know how that saying goes, I have so much on my plate... Well you get the point. So maybe I am exaggerating a tad but it feels like a lot. :) I did get a yummy Meconies sandwich for lunch which makes me feel better, but then I have to face my to do list that gets ever longer. And to top it off, my wireless internet just randomly stopped working and I am having a hard time trying to find a working time with my computer savy friend to help me fix it. So it is either use the slow desktop, or like my dad is doing, hook onto someone else's internet which is not good. And I am trying to get all my college stuff together and sent in but it is taking forever and there are so many things we have to call and ask questions so it keeps getting postponed. And I have to set up my worm composting bin for this week because the worms need to start eating for my biology project! AHHHHH/ARRRGGG! Oh well, it will all get done... Hopefully

Orthodontist!

So does anybody else have those days when you are sure that you scheduled something for that day but it was really for the day before!!! Well that happened today, I was sure that I had a orthodontist appointment so I left work way early so I oculd get there so that I could pick up my stupid retainer cause the last time I was there they said that I grind my teeth at night so I had to get that gross stuff in that makes a mold of your mouth so that I could get a bigger bulkier retainer to protect my teeth. I don't think I have every ground my teeth before so this is a testement to my more stressful life. So instead of getting this dumb appointment down, I get to hang out a home. But now next monday I have to go pick up the retainer which will take like fifteen minutes yet this is the third time I have had to reschedule this cause the first time, it got in the way of tennis practice which i couldn't miss so that I was able to have enough practices to play in the game. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggggggggggg!!! I would put a picture up but there are no fun pictures.

Running, Running, and more Running

Gretchen, This blog is for you!

Okay Gretchen, I know running is super hard and most days I don't even feel like running, but I do it anyway because I can't wait to get that super cool long sleeve St. Patrick's Day shirt! You can do anything you set your mind to my sister, you have accomplished so much, I don't want you to stop now! We can DO IT!!! They had some really helpful hints at runnersworld.com. There is stuff for beginners and about 5ks. Just think how accomplished you will feel when you cross that finish line, with Eye of the Tiger play on your ipod. As for the whole not seeing any results from the running thing, it takes time! Let me say it again, I TAKES TIME!!! You have only been running for like two weeks, you need to keep doing it.

I love you Gretchy! I can't wait to run with you, because it will be so much fun to run together!

So I am sitting down to watch this movie, No Reservations.
Obviosly since I am sitting down to watch it I am not sure
if it is going to be good or not. So proably tomorrow I will
give you a review about it. I will call all of my reviews:
whether movies, books, or anything Kat's Korner. So the
first 10 minutes of this movie is pretty good, a chef is in
therapy, the therapist asks why she is in therapy, she says
her boss will fire her if she doesn't go. Well the review
will come very soon!

Okay so right now I feel as though school is sucking my life right out of me! It takes all of my time and when really do you use what you learn. When I am not in school, I am doing homework. When I am not in school or doing homework then I am driving to school or doing some type of school related thing. It is crazy, my life is not my own!!! It is controlled by school and classes and what they require me to do. So after my evening classes I always plan to do homework but at 9:15 I never feel like doing it, I would much rather read my book and sleep. But then in the morning I always feel bad because then I have to find/create other time so that I can get it all done. And for work that I don't get done during the week, it always spills over to the weekend. So whenever somebody asks what I will do this weekend, the answer always is HOMEWORK!!! Never failing, always, forever and ever it seems that I will always have homework all the time! But hey why am I complaining? I can go to school unlike many millions of children in the world, and the college I go to is free because I am doing Running Start so I don't even have to pay. But still in the end I always have homework...
